RHC Information Kit

Known historically as Al Maqar (the Headquarters), the Royal Hashemite Court (RHC) is considered the political and administrative link between His Majesty King Abdullah II and the Constitutional Authorities (Executive, Legislative, and Judicial). It also acts as the primary institution responsible for handling the direct relationship between His Majesty and the Jordanian people.

Established in parallel with the creation of the Jordanian state, the royal court is the official body that oversees the preparation and implementation of His Majesty’s local and international activities. Additionally, the royal court provides the necessary political, administrative, and diplomatic support to the executive, legislative and judicial branches of the state, in order to enable them to fulfil the tasks entrusted to them by the Constitution.

The royal court submitted its operating budget to the parliament as part of the national budget, which was approved within the 2014 budget, upon being publicly discussed by the parliamentary financial committees. The total budget of the royal court for 2014 is 35.7 million Jordanian Dinars.
