His Majesty King Abdullah has directed the government to develop a new comprehensive financing programme, along clear and transparent criteria, that includes funding, training and technical support to enable youth to start small- and medium-sized projects, creating jobs and sources of income.

At a meeting with a group of young entrepreneurs, attended by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, King Abdullah stressed that the programme should benefit young men and women from all governorates, providing them with business guidance and access to a network of technical and financial experts.

The meeting covered several ideas and suggestions provided by youth, representing various governorates, to expand and develop their projects as well as their comments on obstacles facing them, such as the lack of technical support and financing difficulties.

During the meeting, the young entrepreneurs highlighted their experiences in launching their projects, turning innovative ideas into businesses in various fields, including education, technology, manufacturing, agriculture, design, marketing, and tourism.

The meeting is part of ongoing outreach with youth reflecting the King’s keenness to follow up on their progress, support their aspirations, promote innovation and find effective solutions to unemployment.
