His Majesty King Abdullah joined worshippers in performing Friday prayer at the Royal Guards Mosque in Aqaba.

King Abdullah listened to the Friday sermon, which was delivered by Mohammad Hteibat.

Hteibat spoke about the virtues of the holy month of Ramadan, and highlighted the humanitarian values of Islam, noting that it calls for peace, harmony, and respect for human rights—principles that Jordan follows, and which have made it an oasis of peace.

He also praised army and security agency personnel for their commitment to their duties in the fasting month, defending Jordan and maintaining its security.
