Their Majesties King Abdullah II and Queen Rania Al Abdullah on Monday, attended the launch of The National Strategy for Human Resources Development.
During the ceremony, which was held at the King Hussein Business Park in the presence of a number of Royal family members and the prime minister, the National Committee for Human Resources Development presented its recommendations to develop education in the Kingdom and Human resources in general.
The launch of the strategy paves the way for comprehensive development of human resources in line with applicable programs and plans.
In March last year, the King directed the government to establish a national committee for human resources development.
King Abdullah said in the letter "it is urgent that Jordan develops an integrated, comprehensive, strategic and well-defined system for human resources development".
It should provide a clear framework for all sectors concerned with education, in line with the 10-year economic blueprint (2015-2025) and the National Employment Strategy’s executive plan, the King added in his letter to the government.
During the ceremony, Her Majesty Queen Rania delivered a speech in which she spoke about education in Jordan and the challenges it faces.
