His Majesty King Abdullah on Sunday underlined the importance of drafting a national agenda to build modern Jordan and fulfill the aspirations of citizens for a better future.

Chairing the first meeting of the Steering Committee for the National Agenda at the Royal Court, King Abdullah said confronting economic and social challenges requires defining roles and responsibilities as well as assessing the development process.

During the meeting, attended by Royal Court Minister Samir Rifai, King Abdullah was briefed by the committee members on their ideas and visions to identify priorities and programs to enhance political, economic and social development for the coming ten years.
