The Royal Hashemite Court is pleased to announce the engagement of Her Royal Highness Princess Raiyah bint Al Hussein to Mr Faris Ned Donovan, which took place on Saturday, 26 October 2019, 27 Safar 1441 Hijri.

The Royal Hashemite Court extends its sincere congratulations to Her Royal Highness Princess Raiyah and to Mr Donovan on this occasion.

Princess Raiyah, born in Amman in 1986, is the daughter of His Majesty the late King Hussein bin Talal and Her Majesty Queen Noor.

She holds an undergraduate master’s degree in Japanese studies from Edinburgh University in Scotland, a master’s degree in Japanese literature from Columbia University in New York, and is currently a PhD candidate in pre-modern Japanese literature at UCLA.
