Royal Decree approves Cabinet reshuffle

A Royal Decree was issued on Thursday approving a reshuffle to Prime Minister Omar Razzaz’s Cabinet.

The Royal Decree approved the appointment of the following:

  1. Raed Abu Soud as Minister of Water and Irrigation
  2. Bassam Talhouni as Minister of Justice
  3. Majd Shweikeh as Minister of State for Institutional Performance Development
  4. Azmi Mahafzah as Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research
  5. Falah Al Omoush as Minister of Public Works and Housing
  6. Basma Ishaqat as Minister of Social Development
  7. Ghazi Zaben as Minister of Health
  8. Ibrahim Shahahdeh as Minister of Agriculture and Minister of Environment
  9. Mohammad Abu Rumman as Minister of Culture and Minister of Youth

The new Cabinet members were sworn in before His Majesty King Abdullah at Al Husseiniya Palace.

Royal Hashemite Court Chief Yousef Issawi, and Adviser to His Majesty and Director of the Office of His Majesty Manar Dabbas attended the swearing-in.

Another Royal Decree had been issued accepting the resignation of the following, as of 11 October 2018:

  1. Adel Tweissi as Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research
  2. Hala Bseiso Lattouf as Minister of Social Development
  3. Mahmoud Sheyyab as Minister of Health
  4. Yahya Kisbi as Minister of Public Works and Housing
  5. Nayef Al Fayez as Minister of Environment
  6. Majd Shweikeh as Minister of Public Sector Development
  7. Khaled Hneifat as Minister of Agriculture
  8. Awad Abu Jarad Mashagbeh as Minister of Justice
  9. Munir Oweis as Minister of Water and Irrigation
  10. Azmi Mahafzah as Minister of Education
  11. Makram Queisi as Minister of Youth
  12. Basma Nsour as Minister of Culture
