His Majesty King Abdullah on Thursday met with US Special Representative for International Negotiations Jason Greenblatt and discussed the peace process and the latest regional developments.
The two sides stressed the need to break the stalemate in the peace process, highlighting Washington’s major role in this regard and President Donald Trump’s stance on his commitment to working towards a Palestinian-Israeli peace deal.
King Abdullah noted that resolving the Palestinian-Israeli conflict by launching serious negotiations based on the two-state solution and the Arab Peace Initiative will bring peace and stability to the Middle East.
Greenblatt praised Jordan’s efforts, led by His Majesty, to achieve peace in the region.
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi also attended the meeting.
