King receives Qatar’s deputy PM

His Majesty King Abdullah on Wednesday received Qatar’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani at Al Husseiniya Palace and discussed bilateral ties.

Sheikh Mohammed conveyed Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani’s greetings to King Abdullah.

Discussions covered means to bolster cooperation, with Sheikh Mohammed affirming that Qatar will work on providing 10,000 job opportunities for Jordanians in Doha, and will also work on a package of investments in infrastructure projects at a value of $500 million.

The meeting also addressed current regional developments and the importance of stepping up efforts to fight terrorism within a holistic approach.

Royal Hashemite Court Chief Fayez Tarawneh, Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, Adviser to His Majesty and Director of the Office of His Majesty Manar Dabbas, and Adviser to His Majesty for Economic Affairs Mohamad Al Ississ attended the meeting.

On the Qatari side, Finance Minister Ali Shareef Al Emadi was also in attendance.
