His Majesty King Abdullah on Wednesday received the former president of Finland, Tarja Halonen, who is currently visiting Jordan to get acquainted with the programmes implemented by Finn Church Aid for Syrian refugees.

Discussions at the meeting, held at Al Husseiniya Palace, covered the burdens Jordan is shouldering due to the Syrian refugee crisis and the pressures it has brought on the Kingdom’s economy and its services sector, especially for host communities.

The two sides also discussed regional developments.
