His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday received a delegation of US evangelical leaders, led by Joel Rosenberg.

The meeting, held at Al Husseiniya Palace, covered efforts to move the peace process forward and relaunch Palestinian-Israeli negotiations based on the two-state solution.

King Abdullah highlighted the US administration’s commitment to this issue.

Discussions also tackled Jordanian-US strategic relations, as well as regional and international efforts to fight terrorism within a holistic strategy.

The delegates, who are currently visiting Jordan as part of a regional tour, praised Jordan’s pivotal role, led by His Majesty, in seeking peace and bolstering security and stability in the region and the world, in addition to promoting tolerance, moderation, and interfaith dialogue.

Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and Director of the Office of His Majesty Jafar Hassan attended the meeting.
