His Majesty King Abdullah on Monday received a delegation of US congressional aides and discussed Jordanian-US cooperation and strategic partnership, as well as current regional concerns.

The meeting, held at Basman Palace, addressed efforts to push the Palestinian-Israeli peace process forward on the basis of the two-state solution.

Discussions also covered the fight against terrorism.

Members of the delegation voiced appreciation of Jordan’s pivotal role, led by King Abdullah, in dealing with regional challenges and working to enhance security and stability in the region.

Royal Hashemite Court Chief Fayez Tarawneh and Director of the Office of His Majesty Jafar Hassan also attended the meeting.
