8 February 2018

Their Majesties King Abdullah and Queen Rania visited the Louvre Abu Dhabi on Thursday and toured a number of its halls.

One of the exhibits at the international museum is a statue from Ain Ghazal, which is one of the 36 Neolithic statues found in Ain Ghazal in Jordan as remnants of ancient civilisations that had colonised Jordan.

Their Majesties were briefed on the museum’s facilities and exhibits, which include over 600 artefacts and works of art, as well as 300 exhibits on loan from French museums.

Director of the Office of His Majesty Jafar Hassan, and Adviser to His Majesty and National Policies Council Rapporteur Abdullah Wreikat accompanied Their Majesties on the visit.
