King meets UK chancellor of exchequer
His Majesty King Abdullah on Thursday met with UK Chancellor of the Exchequer Philip Hammond, on the sidelines of the London Initiative Conference, hosted by the British government in partnership with the Jordanian government.
Discussions at the meeting covered opportunities for economic cooperation between Jordan and the United Kingdom.
King Abdullah thanked the United Kingdom for hosting the London Initiative Conference, stressing the importance of the strategic partnership between the two countries.
Discussions also addressed the economic plans and programmes implemented by Jordan to stimulate growth, attract investments and provide job opportunities.
Adviser to His Majesty and Director of the Office of His Majesty Manar Dabbas, Adviser to His Majesty for Economic Affairs Mohamad Ississ, and Jordan’s Ambassador to the UK Omar Nahar attended the meeting.
