His Majesty King Abdullah, accompanied by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, met on Saturday with Guo Ping, rotating chairman of Huawei Technologies.

The meeting, held on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum on the Middle East and North Africa, covered Jordan’s competitive advantages in ICT and its advanced level in this sector at the regional level.

Discussions also covered expanding Jordan’s cooperation with Huawei Technologies, with King Abdullah thanked the company for supporting Jordan’s ICT sector by establishing capacity building centres.

The company is also cooperating with a number of Jordanian universities to establish an academy in Jordan.

Adviser to His Majesty and Director of the Office of His Majesty Manar Dabbas and ICT Minister Mothanna Gharaibeh attended the meeting.
