King departs for UAE, Pakistan

His Majesty King Abdullah, accompanied by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah, departed on Wednesday on an official visit to the United Arab Emirates.

In the UAE, His Majesty is scheduled to meet with Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the vice president and prime minister of the United Arab Emirates and ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the crown prince of Abu Dhabi and deputy supreme commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

From Abu Dhabi, the King is due to head to Pakistan for a working visit at the invitation of President Mamnoon Hussain.

In Pakistan, His Majesty will hold talks with President Hussain and Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.

His Royal Highness Prince Raad bin Zeid was sworn in as Regent, in the presence of Cabinet members.
