King departs to Saudi Arabia to perform Umra

His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday departed to Saudi Arabia to perform Umra, the lesser Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca.

During the visit, King Abdullah was scheduled to also meet Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, for talks on Jordanian-Saudi ties and developments in the region.

His Royal Highness Prince Feisal bin Al Hussein was sworn in as Regent in the presence of Cabinet members.
