King departs for Saudi Arabia, to head Jordan’s delegation at OIC Summit in Istanbul

His Majesty King Abdullah, accompanied by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, departed on Tuesday for Saudi Arabia on an official visit.

During the visit, King Abdullah is scheduled to hold discussions with Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

From Riyadh, His Majesty will depart for Turkey, to head Jordan’s delegation at the Organisation for Islamic Cooperation’s Extraordinary Summit in Istanbul on Wednesday.

Discussions at the Summit will cover the latest developments related to Jerusalem, after the United States decision to recognise it as Israel’s capital and move the US embassy there.

His Royal Highness Prince Ali bin Al Hussein was sworn in as Regent in the presence of Cabinet members.
