King departs for Oman to pay condolences over passing of Sultan Qaboos

His Majesty King Abdullah, accompanied by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, departed for Oman on Sunday to pay condolences to Sultan Haitham bin Tariq bin Taimour Al Said of Oman, over the passing of Sultan Qaboos bin Said.

The high-level delegation accompanying His Majesty includes Their Royal Highness Prince Ali bin Al Hussein; Prince Hamzah bin Al Hussein; Prince Hashim bin Al Hussein, His Majesty’s chief royal councillor; Prince Ghazi bin Muhammad, His Majesty’s chief adviser for religious and cultural affairs and personal envoy; Royal Hashemite Court Chief Yousef Issawi, Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, Adviser to His Majesty for Communication and Coordination Bisher Khasawneh, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Hneiti, and Jordan’s Ambassador to Oman Zuheir Nsour.

His Royal Highness Prince Raad bin Zeid was sworn in as Regent, in the presence of Cabinet members.
