His Majesty King Abdullah on Saturday sent a cable to newly elected Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad, congratulating him on assuming his term.

In the cable, King Abdullah affirmed Jordan’s keenness to strengthen the ties of friendship and cooperation with Malaysia in the best interest of the two peoples, and in service of the causes of the Islamic Ummah.

His Majesty also wished the prime minister success, and the people of Malaysia further prosperity and progress.
