His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday telephoned Sudanese President Omar Bashir, who briefed the King on the situation in Sudan after the failed attempt by a rebel group to destabilise the country.

King Abdullah stressed Jordan's support for Sudan and efforts exerted to realise peace and stability in the Arab African country.

The Sudanese government is hunting for the remnants of the rebels who tried to attack Khartoum on Saturday.
