His Majesty King Abdullah II arrived in Ramallah on Monday on a visit to meet with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.

An official welcoming ceremony was held for King Abdullah, who was received by Abbas and senior Palestinian officials.

His Majesty and the Palestinian president reviewed the guard of honour, and the Jordanian and Palestinian national anthems were played.

His Royal Highness Prince Feisal bin Al Hussein had been sworn in as Regent, in the presence of Cabinet members.
