Governor General of Australia Peter Cosgrove, accompanied by Lady Cosgrove, is due to start an official visit to Jordan on Wednesday, as part of a regional tour.

His Majesty King Abdullah is scheduled to hold talks with the visiting governor general on means to bolster relations in various fields, and on the latest regional and international developments.

During the visit, the Australian governor general will also meet with Prime Minister Hani Mulki and a number of senior officials.
