

King, Queen start two-stop tour next Sunday

Their Majesties King Abdullah and Queen Rania on Sunday depart for Morocco to start a tour that will also take them to Portugal.
In Morocco, King Abdullah and Moroccan King Mohammad VI will discuss means to foster bilateral relations, coordinate Arab policy and efforts to bring about regional peace and stability.
During his visit to Portugal, the King is scheduled to meet with Portuguese President Anibal Cavaco Silva, Prime Minister Jose Socrates and other senior officials.
Talks between the King and Portuguese officials will focus on ways to boost bilateral relations, especially in the political, economic and trade fields, in addition to issues of mutual concern, chief among which is the peace process.
While in Lisbon, King Abdullah will also meet a group of Portuguese businesspeople and private sector representatives, who will participate in a Jordanian business forum that coincides with the King's visit.
