His Majesty King Abdullah II met in London on Thursday with senior executives and founders of leading companies operating in the United Kingdom, to discuss prospects for expanding economic cooperation across a number of promising sectors.

During the meeting, His Majesty emphasised the importance of the long-standing partnership between Jordan and the UK, and the commitment of both countries to strengthening economic and trade relations across multiple industries.

The King noted that the meeting served as a valuable opportunity to deepen communication, share insights, and explore areas of mutual interest to support the development of stronger, more impactful partnerships.

His Majesty underscored the importance of leveraging Jordan’s investment advantages to expand Jordanian-British partnerships, pointing to Jordan’s solid industrial foundation, efficient logistical networks, and access to major regional and global markets.

The meeting brought together representatives from companies operating in the automotive, mining, energy, engineering, chemical, and pharmaceutical sectors, as well as the apparel and textile industries, the design and development of theme parks, and film and television production industries, alongside heads of chambers of commerce and industry in both countries.

The attendees voiced their commitment to broadening bilateral cooperation and pursuing joint ventures across both countries’ public and private sectors.

Director of the Office of His Majesty Alaa Batayneh, Minister of Industry, Trade, and Supply Yarub Qudah, Minister of Investment Tareq Abu Ghazaleh, and Jordan’s Ambassador to the UK Manar Dabbas attended the meeting.
