King, Finland president attend tactical exercise at KASOTC

His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, and Finland President Alexander Stubb on Monday attended a military tactical exercise at King Abdullah II Special Operations Training Centre (KASOTC).
His Majesty and President Stubb, accompanied by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti, were briefed on the centre’s training programmes, and its leading role in the training and qualification of special operations units at both regional and international levels.
The exercise involved carrying out operational scenarios that simulate contemporary security challenges, demonstrating the use of modern technology and a high level of proficiency in planning and execution, thereby enhancing the ability of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army to respond effectively to a variety of situations.
The King and the Finnish president toured the centre, inspecting the training grounds, technical equipment and facilities.
His Majesty emphasised the importance of continuing to develop the defence capabilities of the armed forces, and strengthening cooperation and coordination with active partners, in order to address security challenges and maintain security and stability.
For his part, President Stubb expressed admiration for the advanced level of the centre and its facilities and training programmes, and praised the competence of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army.
