His Majesty King Abdullah on Wednesday sent a cable to Barham Salih, congratulating him on his election as president of Iraq.

In the cable, King Abdullah affirmed Jordan’s keenness to bolster cooperation with Iraq and to maintain consultation and coordination on various issues of mutual concern.

His Majesty also expressed his well wishes to President Salih, wishing prosperity and progress for the people of Iraq.
