Islam reviles aggression against innocents - King
15 December 2005
His Majesty King Abdullah on Thursday stressed that Islam reviles aggression against innocents, of any land or religion.
"The Prophet Muhammad - peace be upon him - told us: By Him in whose Hand is my life, none of you believes until he [or she] loves for their brother, what they love for themselves," King Abdullah said in a speech at Chulalongkorn University, where he was presented an honorary doctorate in political science.
Addressing an array of prominent political, academic and Muslim figures as well as students, he said: Here in Thailand, Muslims have a long history as an important part of civilization and society. They deserve, as all Thais deserve, that their rights be honored and their persons be respected.
