His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Regent, and Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, on Monday visited the Greco-Roman archaeological site of Jerash, one of the best-preserved Roman provincial towns in the world.

Crown Prince Al Hussein and Prince William toured the ancient city and attended a number of activities at the Southern Theatre performed by youth and children from the northern governorate of Jerash, with the participation of Syrian refugee children benefiting from UNICEF’s Makani – My Space initiative to support children in Jordan.

His Royal Highness and the Duke of Cambridge were briefed on the services offered by Makani, which provides vulnerable children and youth with learning opportunities, life skills training and psychosocial support services.

Prince William spoke with a number of Syrian refugee families who were present about the services they receive from UNICEF in Jordan.
