Crown Prince meets with EIB president, leaders of global companies on WEF sidelines

His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II held a meeting on Wednesday with European Investment Bank (EIB) President Nadia Calviño, during which they discussed ways of expanding cooperation to implement several projects in Jordan.

During the meeting, held on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, the Crown Prince commended EIB’s support to Jordan for implementation of vital projects, particularly the Aqaba-Amman Water Desalination and Conveyance project.

His Royal Highness also held separate meetings with CEOs, founders, and representatives of global companies to explore new avenues for cooperation and exchange of expertise, in order to enhance economic and investment growth and contribute to honing digital skills among Jordanians. 

During the meetings, investment advantages in Jordan were highlighted, such as technical infrastructure services and training programmes that support young people and provide them with the technical and technological skills needed in the labour market.

Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Zeina Toukan, Minister of Investment Tareq Abu Ghazaleh, and Director of the Office of the Crown Prince Zaid Baqain attended the meetings.
