His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II on Monday met with entrepreneurs and executives of American technology companies in Silicon Valley, California.

During a working dinner hosted by Amjad Masad, the Jordanian entrepreneur and founder and CEO of Replit, the Crown Prince highlighted the initiatives of the National Council for Future Technology, which aim to improve the efficiency of government work in the areas of public services, education, and innovation.

His Royal Highness noted that Jordan has become a regional hub for global technology companies such as Microsoft, Amazon, Oracle, and Samsung, thanks to the Jordanian talent working in the technology sector.

Discussions also covered the potential of opening new avenues of cooperation with Jordan, given the Kingdom’s attractive investment incentives, well-developed digital infrastructure, and large pool of young local talent, which have led to its successful penetration of global markets.

The attendees included representatives from companies operating in key sectors such as artificial intelligence, fintech, advanced software-as-a-service, intelligent engineering simulation systems, and digital learning platforms.

Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Sami Smeirat, Jordan’s Ambassador to the United States Dina Kawar, and Director of the Office of the Crown Prince Zaid Baqain attended the meeting.
