His Majesty King Abdullah on Thursday sent a cable to Julie Payette, congratulating her on assuming her term as the Governor General of Canada.

In the cable, King Abdullah affirmed Jordan’s keenness to continue building on its ties of friendship and cooperation with Canada in all fields.

His Majesty wished Payette continued success, and the people of Canada further progress and prosperity.
