King receives Australia defence minister

His Majesty King Abdullah II on Sunday received Australia Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence Richard Marles.
The meeting, attended by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, covered the deep-rooted ties between Jordan and Australia, as well as ways to enhance cooperation across various sectors, particularly military and security-related fields.
Speaking about current regional developments, His Majesty called for stepping up international efforts to ensure the sustainability of the ceasefire agreement between the United States and Iran, underscoring that any agreement to end the war must guarantee the security of Arab states.
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti, Director of the Office of His Majesty Alaa Batayneh, and Australia’s Ambassador to Jordan Paula Ganly attended the meeting.
