Royal Decree approves reshuffle of PM Razzaz’s Cabinet

A Royal Decree was issued Thursday, approving a reshuffle of Prime Minister Omar Razzaz’s Cabinet.

The Royal Decree approved the appointment of the following:

1. Salameh Hammad as Minister of Interior

2. Walid Masri as Minister of Local Administration

3. Yasera Ghosheh as Minister of State for Institutional Performance Development

4. Mothanna Gharaibeh as Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship

5. Mohamad Ississ as Minister of Planning and International Cooperation and Minister of State for Economic Affairs

6. Sami Daoud as Minister of State for Prime Ministry Affairs

7. Nidal Bataineh as Minister of Labour

8. Saad Jaber as Minister of Health


The ministers were sworn in before His Majesty King Abdullah at Al Husseiniya Palace.

Prime Minister Razzaz, Royal Hashemite Court Chief Yousef Issawi, and Adviser to His Majesty for Communication and Coordination Bisher Khasawneh attended the swearing-in.

A Royal Decree had also been issued, accepting the resignation of the following, as of 9 May 2019:

1. Samir Murad as Minister of Labour

2. Walid Masri as Minister of Municipal Affairs

3. Muhannad Shehadeh as Minister of State for Investment Affairs

4. Samir Mubaideen as Minister of Interior

5. Mary Kawar as Minister of Planning and International Cooperation

6. Mothanna Gharaibeh as Minister of Information and Communications Technology

7. Ghazi Zaben as Minister of Health

Another Royal Decree had been issued accepting the resignation of Mohamad Ississ from his position as Special Adviser to His Majesty as of 9 May 2019.
