A Royal Decree was issued on Thursday appointing Major General Adnan Jundi as director of the General Intelligence Department as of 30 March 2017, succeeding General Faisal Shobaki.

Another Royal Decree was issued accepting the resignation of Shobaki from his position as the King’s national security adviser and director of the General Intelligence Department also as of 30 March 2017.
