A Royal Decree was issued on Tuesday appointing Abdul Karim Khasawneh as the Kingdom's grand mufti with the salary, rank and authority of a minister as of Tuesday.

Another Royal Decree was issued accepting the resignation of Noah Qudah from his post as the country's top cleric as of Tuesday, according to the provisions of Article 6 (A) of the 2006 Iftaa Law.
