King visits Golden Age Home for elderly at White Beds Society

His Majesty King Abdullah, in a surprise visit ahead of Eid Al Fitr, checked on the conditions of the residents of of the Golden Age Home for the elderly at the White Beds Society, in Juwaideh.

King Abdullah expressed his best wishes to the elderly on the occasion of Eid Al Fitr and heard from them first hand about the level of service and care they receive.

In a tour of the facility, which houses 120 senior citizens, His Majesty was briefed by the deputy director of the home, Aminah Harb, on the White Beds Society, which was founded in 1979 and is one of the largest and oldest homes for the elderly in the Kingdom.

The white Beds Society has 71 employee and offers housing as well as health, social and recreational services for the elderly, providing them with decent living conditions and rehabilitation services for them and their families.

The King visited the White Beds Society in 2006, and issued directives for a comprehensive overhaul to meet the needs of its beneficiaries.

Royal Hashemite Court Chief Yousef Issawi, Adviser to His Majesty for Communication and Coordination Bisher Khasawneh, and Adviser to His Majesty for Policies and Media Kamal Al Nasser accompanied the King on the visit.
