Kamal Smadi was sworn in before His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday as president of the Higher Sharia Court.

Royal Hashemite Court Chief Fayez Tarawneh and Chief Islamic Justice Sheikh Abdul Karim Khasawneh attended the swearing in ceremony.

A Royal Decree had been issued appointing Smadi as president of the Higher Sharia Court as of 20 September 2017.
