King receives Silver Jubilee Medal from army

His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, on Monday received the Silver Jubilee Medal, specially created by the General Command of JAF for the Silver Jubilee.

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Hneiti presented the medal to His Majesty, at a ceremony attended by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II.

The medal’s designs reflect the military units and formations that the King served in during the period 1983-1999.

The medal was presented to His Majesty during a visit to Martyr’s Memorial on the occasion of Army Day and the Great Arab Revolt anniversary, attended by His Royal Highness Prince Feisal bin Al Hussein and Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh.

During the visit, the King bestowed Silver Jubilee medals on JAF, the General Intelligence Department, and the Public Security Directorate, in recognition of the distinguished contributions of their personnel and their dedication to their duties.

In addition, His Majesty bestowed Royal medals on a number of JAF and security agencies’ personnel, in appreciation of their distinguished service and dedication.
