His Majesty King Abdullah received on Wednesday at Al Husseiniya Palace Senior Adviser to the US President Jared Kushner, who is visiting Jordan as part of a regional tour.

The meeting covered the latest regional developments, especially efforts to resolve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

King Abdullah stressed the need to step up all efforts to achieve comprehensive and lasting peace on the basis of the two-state solution, guaranteeing the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the 4 June 1967 lines, with East Jerusalem as its capital, living side by side with Israel in peace and security, in accordance with international law and relevant UN resolutions.

Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, Adviser to His Majesty for Communication and Coordination Bisher Khasawneh, Jordan’s Ambassador in Washington, DC, Dina Kawar, Assistant to the President and Special Representative for International Negotiations Jason Greenblatt, and the accompanying delegation attended the meeting.
