King receives Princess Margareta, Custodian of the Crown of Romania, and Prince Radu

His Majesty King Abdullah on Wednesday received at Al Husseiniya Palace Princess Margareta, Custodian of the Crown of Romania, and Prince Radu, who are heading an economic Romanian delegation currently visiting the Kingdom.

The meeting covered ways to bolster commercial and investment cooperation, as well as expand cooperation in ICT, tourism, culture, and higher education, particularly by increasing the number of scholarships offered by Romanian universities to Jordanian students.

Discussions also touched on Jordan’s investment-friendly climate and opportunities to benefit from the Kingdom’s strategic position as a gateway into regional and global markets.

The two sides stressed the importance of building on the outcomes of the Romanian delegation’s visit to advance economic and commercial cooperation through visit exchange among representatives of the two countries’ private sectors.

Princess Margareta described Jordan as a model of moderation and tolerance, commending the Kingdom’s role in bolstering peace and stability in the region and the world.

Adviser to His Majesty and Director of the Office of His Majesty Manar Dabbas, Minister of State for Investment Affairs Muhannad Shehadeh, and Romanian Ambassador to Jordan Nicolae Comănescu attended the meeting.

The Romanian economic delegation includes 60 executives of major companies in Romania, who have participated in the Jordanian-Romanian business forum held in Amman recently.
