His Majesty King Abdullah on Saturday received US Secretary of Homeland Security John F. Kelly and discussed Jordanian-US strategic relations and ways to strengthen them, especially in the security field.

The meeting also covered regional and international efforts to combat terrorism within a holistic strategy, with the two sides stressing the importance of intensifying coordination and cooperation among all countries concerned, in order to counter this threat to global peace and security.

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of-Staff Lt. Gen. Mahmoud Freihat and General Intelligence Department Director Maj. Gen. Adnan Jundi also attended the meeting.
