King meets UAE vice president

His Majesty King Abdullah, accompanied by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, met on Monday with Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, vice president and prime minister of the United Arab Emirates and ruler of Dubai, in Mecca.

The meeting covered the deep-rooted, historical ties between the two countries, as well as current regional developments.

Discussions touched on the strong Jordanian-Emirati relations and keenness to advance them further in all areas, while maintaining coordination and consultations on various issues and regional challenges, in the service of Arab causes.

King Abdullah expressed appreciation for the UAE—led by its president, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan—for its ongoing support to Jordan and for contributing to development projects.

Adviser to His Majesty and Director of the Office of His Majesty Manar Dabbas attended the meeting.
