His Majesty King Abdullah received Jordan's Permanent Representative to the UN, His Royal Highness Prince Zeid Bin Raad on the occasion of his official nomination for the post of the UN secretary general.

UN Secretary General Kofi Annan's term will end later this year. The government announced Prince Zeid's nomination for the UN Secretary General yesterday, and at the Arab League Council session in Cairo today, officially requested that the Arab League support the nomination of Prince Zeid.
