King condoles emperor, PM of Japan over flood victims

His Majesty King Abdullah on Monday sent cables to Emperor Akihito and Prime Minister Shinzo Abe of Japan, expressing condolences over the victims of floods and landslides caused by heavy rain.

Over 100 people have been killed in the floods in western Japan, and many remain missing.

In the cables, King Abdullah said Jordan stands in solidarity with Japan as it works to overcome this tragedy, expressing his deepest condolences to Emperor Akihito, Prime Minister Abe, the victims’ families, and the people of Japan.
