King attends tactical exercise

His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF), on Monday attended a tactical exercise conducted by the 60th Prince El Hassan bin Talal Royal Armoured Brigade of the Central Military Zone.

King Abdullah was received by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Lt. Gen. Mahmoud Freihat and Central Military Zone Commander Brig. Gen. Adnan Raggad.

His Majesty was briefed on the C2 command and control communications system, recently adopted by the brigade, and on the components of the exercise.

The drill included reconnaissance operations, and the utilisation of F-16 fighter jets and Cobra attack helicopters, as well as various weapons.

The King joined his brothers in arms in part of the tactical exercise, which included a counterattack operation, expressing pride in their efforts and readiness.
