King attends opening of ninth International Conference of Royal Medical Services

His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, on Tuesday attended the opening of the ninth International Conference of the Royal Medical Services, held with the participation of 600 medical scientists and experts from Jordan and 50 Arab and international countries.

King Abdullah was received by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Lt. Gen. Mahmoud Freihat and Royal Medical Services Director Maj. Gen. Muin Habashneh.

His Majesty also inaugurated the second Jordan Health Exhibition, which showcases the latest medical equipment by 85 local and international companies.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the conference, held at the King Hussein bin Talal Convention Centre at the Dead Sea, Habashneh highlighted the numerous of activities planned as part of the conference.

During the ceremony, attended by a number of senior officials and officers, a video highlighting the advancements and achievements of the Royal Medical Services was screened.
