Deputising for King, Crown Prince attends 91st Hashemite Scientific Council

Deputising for His Majesty King Abdullah, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II on Friday attended the 91st Hashemite Scientific Council at the Royal Cultural Centre, the first to be held this year, covering Abu Bakr, one of Prophet Mohammad’s companions and the first caliph.

The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs holds the Hashemite Scientific Councils every Ramadan, hosting scholars and thought leaders from the Arab and Muslim world to discuss issues related to Islam.

Speakers at the session on Friday highlighted the life of Abu Bakr as companion of Prophet Mohammad and later as caliph.

Several senior officials and officers, diplomats and scholars attended the 91st Hashemite Scientific Council.
