His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein is the King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan since the 7 February 1999, on the same day his late father, His Majesty the Late King Al Hussein bin Talal passed away, and 41st Descendant of the prophet Mohammad, Peace and Blessings be Upon Him..
His Majesty King Abdullah ibn Al Hussein was born in Amman on 30 January 1962. He is the eldest son of His Majesty the late King Al Hussein bin Talal and HRH Princess Muna Al Hussein. His Majesty has four brothers and six sisters and is the 41st-generation direct descendant of the Prophet Mohammad (Peace and Blessings be Upon Him).
His Majesty married Her Majesty Queen Rania on 10 June 1993, and they have two sons and two daughters: HRH Prince Al Hussein, the Crown Prince, who was born on 28 June 1994, HRH Princess Iman (27 September 1996), HRH Princess Salma (26 September 2000), and HRH Prince Hashem (30 January 2005).
