The Royal visit to the United States and Mexico;s goals and program

Visit Objectives & Programs:

Mexico:

• Establish bilateral ties between Mexico and wider Latin American countries and position Jordan as an investment and tourism destination and gateway for Latin Americans into the region.
• Promote the Jordanian perspective to Mexican and Latin American leaders on developments taking place in the Middle East.

US (Washington & California):

• Build support within the administration and the United States Congress for ongoing efforts to advance the peace process and reaffirm Jordanian higher interests in final status issues.
• Promote the Jordanian perspective on developments in Syria and its wider regional implications and the need to press for a political solution to the conflict.
• Support ongoing efforts to finalize the assistance framework for US financial support to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan for 2015-2017.
• Highlight the security, economic and social burden Jordan is shouldering as a result of the continuing Syrian crises and energy disruptions due regional instability.
• Promote Jordanian economic interests and investment opportunities.
